b. 1984, lives and works as a freelance cameraman and photojournalist in Cape Town, South Africa and Stuttgart, Germany.
His work in documentary as well as in stills and everything in between is mainly focused on social issues in the margins of the mainstream media coverage.
Ever since his graduation from the Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts with a BA degree in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography in 2011, he works for print clients including the London Sunday Times (Magazine), Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Zeit, stern, mare as well as film production companies and broadcasters such as BBC Television Francaise, Saltpeter Productions, 2470media and others.
His work has earned recognition in major media awards in several countries including the 2010 Deutscher Reporterpreis, 2011 Axel-Springer-Preis (honorable mention) and most recently the United Nations Film Festival with the award for Best Cinematography.
Felix was nominated for the 2011 World Press Photo Masterclass and named among the Top 30 German journalists under 30 by Medium Magazine.
Beside his freelance work he supports Cape Town based production company Butterfly Films as Creative Director.
